Sam Bahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar is a movie based on true events, a movie whose story one can imagine only in Hollywood or maybe Tollywood. One man, all emotions- Sam Maneskshaw! If any movie truly justifies this line “Hum rahe ya na rahe, humari iss vardi ka Gaurav hamesha rahega” it would definitely be Sam Bahadur. Sam bahadur is not just a movie, it is the complete history of decades of Indian Army. Sam Bahadur, a name that Sam Maneskshaw got by mistake, indeed gave shivers to everyone coming out of the movie hall.
Throughout the movie, I could only see the characters, and not the actors. This is the kind of movie that Bollywood aspires. All kudos for this goes to Vicky Kaushal, who for whole movie made me forget his real identity. Ranging for the expressions, acting to posture, everything on point. Indeed the man behind the success of the movie. Although the cast could have been made better in case of Indira Gandhi whose voice, I felt was a major issue and Nehru, a character that could have been played better. Special kudos to Meghna Gulzar, who is on the path to revolutionise the Bollywood, especially after Raazi which was also directed by her, Sam bahadur is yet again a master piece, an example of result of detailed research, brilliant story writing, direction and production which gives a heartwarming look.

I will definitely recommend this movie to someone who urges leadership and discipline in life and on the contrary I will not suggest this movie to someone who already knows the background of Sam Manekshaw. It’s a movie which can fill you will enthusiasm, firm determination, motivation : in all a high on life power pack movie, especially for youth!
